On September 26, 2020, we held our very first Virtual Showdown. The night consisted of fun, food, jokes, and an intense game of trivia. We had a great turnout of about 300 participants forming a total of 38 teams. Everyone was able to enjoy the same showdown they know and love from the comforts of their home.

With these teams competing head to head in 4 rounds of trivia questions, 3 teams were able to earn enough points and become the winners of the first ever Virtual Showdown.

1st place - Dunder Mifflin B-team
2nd place - Oh My Gourd
3rd place - Friends!

We want to give our Virtual Showdown committee a huge shoutout for all their hard work and making this event possible.

Another huge thank you goes out to our Commercial Sponsors: Aratani Foundation, Seki, Nishimura, & Watase LLP, Bill, Christy, and Kiana Seki, Nisei Week Foundation, Okaeri, Henry Ota and Hiroyo Nonoyama and the Ota Wildcats, Elder Law Services of California, Fukui Mortuary, Union Bank, Gonsaku & Mine Ito Family, Keiro, and Go For Broke National Education Center.

As well as Round Sponsors: Stacy Toyota and SD Fam, Little Tokyo Service Center, Cold Tofu, and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center for supporting this unique community event.

Last but not least, thank you to each of the teams for joining our event! We hope you had fun and will join again next year.
